Rob Workman is a freelance trombonist based in London. He is currently Principal Trombone of the Glyndebourne Touring Opera Orchestra a position that he has held since 2004.
He can occasionally be seen as an extra-player with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Ballet Sinfonia as well as the London Symphony, Philharmonia and BBC Orchestras.
He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Eric Crees, Simon Wills and John Kenny and graduated in 1997. In 1998 he was appointed as Trombone Tutor and Brass Ensemble Coach at the Purcell School for Young Musicians in Bushey.
